All BBS-licensed supervisors of MFT interns must complete 6 hours of clinical supervision training each licensing cycle.

Effective January 1, 2001, all BBS-licensed supervisors of LCSW Associates must have completed 15 hours of clinical supervision prior to the commencement of supervision. The training must be taken on or after January 1, 1999. No further training is required in subsequent licensing cycles. If you are supervising MFT interns and have completed the 6-hour course to satisfy the above requirement, you only need to complete an additional 9 hours of training.

Effective January 1, 2001, supervisors must certify that they are qualified to supervise based upon the completion of 6 hours of formal training in supervision.
