Author: Donna Rothert

At a Loss

Written by a psychologist who experienced two pregnancy losses herself, At a Loss offers thirty essays on the thoughts, feelings, and struggles that come along with losing a pregnancy or baby. Topics include hopelessness, anger, loneliness, acceptance, mindfulness, posttraumatic growth and reflections on life many years after the death of a baby. Appropriate for those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, termination due to a medical diagnosis, infant loss or other type of baby loss as well as those who work with this population. Whether early in the crisis of grief or exploring the loss years afterward, this book supports the reader to increase their self-compassion and find new ways to understand and heal after baby loss.

Join us for a reading and discussion of the new book At a Loss: Finding Your Way After Miscarriage, Stillbirth, or Infant Death. This book consists of 30 short essays about living after pregnancy or infant loss. It is inspired by the author’s own experiences of perinatal loss as well as her 15 years of working with individuals and couples coping with baby loss. The book will be for sale at this event.
